Dogs have always been a part of Michael Forte’s life. Growing up, his
family had Cocker Spaniels, Rough Collies, and German Shepherds
Dogs. Over the years, he has shown and bred Old English Sheepdogs,
Tibetan Spaniels, Cavalier king Charles Spaniels and Bernese Mountain
Dogs. Thirty years ago, Michael introduced Bernese Mountain Dogs to Ireland, where he bred the first litters and titled the first champions in that country. In 1980, he started the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ireland; he is currently the BMDCI President. Mr. Forte is qualified to judge all breeds up to and including the Best in Show level. As an FCI all breed judge, he has been invited to shows in many countries around the world, including European and World shows, and many International shows. He has also judged at all breed shows in Africa, America, Canada, and Asia. |
